Now Available ! OFA Level 1 Re-certification Course
This Occupational First Aid Level 1 Re-certification course is a 4 hour course designed to provide lifesaving skills to workers in industry. The prerequisites for this course is that Candidates must hold a valid OFA Level 1 certificate.
Basic one-day course offering lifesaving first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills for the workplace or home. Course meets legislation requirements for provincial/territorial worker safety and insurance boards and includes the latest first aid and CPR guidelines.

Comprehensive two-day course offering first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills for those who need training due to work requirements or who want more knowledge to respond to emergencies at home. Course meets legislation requirements for provincial/territorial worker safety and insurance boards and includes the latest first aid and CPR guidelines.

Courses on cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) provide the skills needed to recognize and respond to cardiovascular emergencies and choking for adults, children, and babies depending on the level of CPR chosen. Courses meet legislation requirements for provincial/territorial worker safety and insurance boards, and include the latest CPR guidelines and training in the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED).

The Babysitting course, refreshed and revised, now has a greater emphasis on First Aid skills. The Canadian Red Cross Babysitting course covers everything from managing difficult behaviours to essential content on leadership and professional conduct as a babysitter. Babysitting promises to deepen and enhance the responsibility that older youth feel when caring for younger children. This updated curriculum, complete with new science, also provides improved learning when it comes to giving the appropriate care in the event of an emergency.

Real-world scenarios often call on children to respond to challenges. The Stay Safe! program teaches applicable and age-appropriate skills, while increasing and reinforcing a youth’s capacity to improve his or her own safety. Whether in their community or on their own, this group will be given better tools to Stay Safe! in a variety of different situations.

This 70 hour course is meant for large worksites and typically are beyond 20 minutes travel time to a hospital. This course includes:

Usually, when an OFA Level 1 or Level 2 Certificate holder is the attendant at a work site that is more than 20 minutes surface travel time away from a hospital, a Transportation Endorsement is required. This course teaches Critical Interventions and Transportation Skills and equipment in order to handle the responsibilities - since the Attendant will have the injured worker under their care for a much longer time. |
This review course is a one day refresher course designed to provide the certified first aid attendant practice on a variety of minor wound care topics to create a more effective first aid program in the work place.
PREREQUISITES All participants must be currently certified with either an Occupational Level 3 or Level 2 first aid certificate |
